We usually operate by appointment only but we may on occasion take walk-ins when we have a flash event (a day set aside specifically to take walk-ins that will choose their tattoo from a set of designs prepared by the artist in advance). Check the artist's Instagram accounts for current info .
Fill out the contact form of your desired artist (either Dax or Suzy). An artist will reach out to you within 48 hrs to set up an appointment or suggest another artist if they're unable to take your project.
Our artists are always accepting cash, Venmo, or Paypal.
You must be 18 years of age with government issued ID (driver's license, ID, or passport). There is no provision for parental permission, so you must be 18.
Please show up on time, ready to fill out paperwork. The most important thing is to be well rested, eat a good meal, and be hydrated before your tattoo starts. This is because inadequate sleep or being hungover, or being hungry will often make the tattoo session worse for you, and could cause light-headedness or even fainting.
Wear something comfortable that allows easy access to the area to be tattooed, and something that is OK if it gets ink on it (some inks will not wash out!).
It's not entirely necessary but it's very helpful to us if you can gently exfoliate and hydrate the skin to be tattooed, this helps the stencil stick to your skin better. If your tattoo design is symmetrical and going in the center of your body, it might be a good idea to check your body symmetry. Some clients have gotten a massage/body adjustment before coming in because your skin can shift to one side if you have tight muscles on your dominant side, causing those centered tattoos to shift to one side later.
Make sure you don't have any of the following issues going on in the area to be tattooed:
unusual skin sensitivity (could be caused by injury or antibiotics)
bruises
sunburns
rashes
folliculitis or other skin infections
Coverups are taken on a case-by-case basis. If the tattoo you want to cover is old and small and faded, it is more likely to be chosen for coverup. A large complicated tattoo with heavy black shading or solid fill will be more difficult to cover up and the artist may suggest getting laser treatments prior to attempting a coverup to get the best results.
No, this is not a service we offer.
This practice has been done before, and recently has had a resurgence in popularity. The problem is we don't know if it is a completely safe practice because there is no way to confirm the sterility of the ashes. We do not want to put you in danger with unknown substances that could make you very ill or cause infection or scarring in the tattooed area.
We suggest that if you want to memorialize a loved one, do it with symbols and imagery that make you think of them. This will be much safer and you will have a much nicer looking tattoo in the long run.
Our private studio rooms have limited space and our artists do best when not distracted by guests so we prefer to keep appointments to just yourself!
We love kids & dogs but they are just not allowed in a tattoo studio! Please find childcare for your little ones or leave your pets or ESA ( Emotional Support Animal) at home.
Sorry, no we do not! If you see Piercing attached to our description anywhere, it's just because every internet site wants to lump them together regardless.
No we do not offer Permanent makeup at this time.
Sorry not at this time. You may pay an advance deposit with your artist of choice.
SANIDERM bandage: Wear the film bandage provided for about 24-36 hours. Remove the film slowly and carefully (running warm water over the film sometimes will help to loosen it). Run some hot water over the whole tattoo to help open your pores and loosen the surface slime. With clean hands and liquid soap wash the tattoo thoroughly or until all of the surface residue is gone. Rinse with cool water and pat dry with a clean towel. You may start moisturizing right away or whenever your tattoo starts to feel tight or dry. Several times a day you may apply sparingly a fragrance free, water-based lotion (such as Aveeno, Lubriderm, Cetaphyl, Eucerine, Gold Bond, Coconut oil, etc). Light scabbing and flaking is normal and should take about a week or two to slough off. While there are scabs on the tattoo don't soak the in a tub or while swimming. Do not scratch or pick the tattoo. Should be free of scabs within 1-2 weeks and fully healed in 4 weeks.
Standard bandaging, Day 1: Remove the bandage provided after about 1-8 hours. With clean hands, wash with mild liquid soap and hot water. Your new tattoo will continue to seep fluids for the next 24-48 hours. Wash frequently to prevent build-up of drying fluids. Cover your tattoo the first night with a thin layer of ointment and a new bandage. Do this only for the first night - after that no more bandages. The purpose for this is to protect your seeping tattoo from your bedding. If you experience clothes or sheets sticking to your tattoo, simply wet the fabric with lots of water before attempting to remove it.
Standard bandaging, Days 2-4: Continue to clean tattoo with soap & water about 2 times a day for the next 3 days. Do not use any ointments, lotions or balms for the first 1-2 days. During this time you should treat your tattoo like an open wound - keep it clean & dry and do not get sweat or dirt in it. Don't over exert the skin around it (so that means avoid heavy stretching and exercises for up to a week). Don't tub soak (short showers are OK).
Standard bandaging, Days 4-14: After 3-4 days the tattoo will start to get dry and flaky. You may start moisturizing it with a water-based fragrance free lotion (Aveeno, Lubriderm, Cetaphyl cream are all acceptable). Don't over-saturate -use only what your skin will absorb. For the next 2 weeks or so your tattoo will be dry, flaky, and itchy and may have small scabs attached to it. Do not scratch or pick at the scabs or soak them in water (short showers are OK). If the tattoo itches, it's a sign it needs moisture. It's okay to slap or pat the tattoo to relieve the itching as well. Also do not let constrictive clothing rub against or irritate the tattoo. Do not expose it to sunlight, tanning beds, or chlorine water for 3 weeks.
For the life of your tattoo, keeping it out of sunlight will prolong it's brightness. Sunlight can fade colors, blur lines, and generally remove details from tattoos. The best defense is covering up, but a mineral based sunblock with a high SPF is a good second. Look for Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide as the main ingredient. This blocks UVB and UVA rays from the surface of your skin, and generally work better than chemical based sunscreens.
